A luscious lace scarf made in camel and silk yarn

This post is also available in : French

I don’t know if I’ve told you before but with no doubt, the yarn I love to knit the most is a mix of camel and silk. It is soft, warm, shiny, but also, let’s face it : it’s also fun to see people’s face when I tell them I knit camel and silk.

Yes, I just love it ! 🙂

It was one of my friend’s birthday and I really wanted to treat her with something special and original.

She is a hiker, we’ve been exploring the area together, and she is always curious for new things (you should see her tea box !) ok, this is a private joke but I love to taste new things (tea are not hazardous anyway), and I always learn new things when with her, that’s actually why I love my friend Sandra 🙂

So I’ve decided to honnor her and treat her with something precious, and shiny, by sharing with her something I also love very much, and that’s why I’ve decided to knit her a scard with my hand-dyed yarn, in camel and silk

(they are available in my yarn store). And for Sandra, I’ve picked “Acajou” color (mahogany in English)

and I found a very pretty pattern in my long list of things I wanted to knit !

Luscious Lace Scarf is a free pattern on Ravelry 😉

I used 2 skeins of yarn for it

Pretty easy to knit, since the pattern repeats for as long as you want the scarf to be, you can stop whenever, but you quickly find a rythm in your knitting, and it’s quite pleasant, especially when you have camel and silk yarn in your fingers.

and it looks NIIIIICCCCEEEE !

Very soft, shiny and actually, depending on the light around, I can see some brown, red or dark pink shades to it.

I really love camel and silk yarn, and I think it’s going to be my favorite yarn for quite a long time
